RFIQ library systems

RFIQ™ library system
Combined with the new M180 antenna, which is itself very cost-effective, an RFIQ™ system with tags and a librarian station costs less than the EM systems currently available.
Running costs are lower and the system can be upgraded to RFID at a later stage, which allows inventory functions and additional process automation devices to be added. It is an ideal package with a very high detection rate, no false alarms and an antenna that covers an area with a radius of up to 1.6 m.
RFIQ™ is the most advanced library security system on the market for protecting library collections, designed and developed by D-Tech. The system provides perimeter protection and improved alarm detection, with the option to migrate to an RFID system when the budget allows.

The tags themselves are a core component of every RFID / RFIQ™ system. Without the tags, the rest of the system – gates, staff workstations or SelfCheck kiosks – simply could not function. It is especially important to choose exactly the right tags for the way they will be used in your library. D-Tech’s RFID / RFIQ™ tags comply with ISO 18000-3 and ISO 15693 for the air interface, and the SLI-X chips can store data in the industry-standard ISO 28560-2 format. We would also like to point out that the tags we offer carry a data retention guarantee of 40 years or 100,000 rewrites.
Gate/Antennas
The Plexiglas RFIQ™ system provides a three-dimensional detection field and perimeter protection, improving alarm management for libraries where traditional systems are not suitable or where a higher level of protection is needed.
The M180 RFIQ™ system offers a more cost-effective option, based on a single transmitter-receiver circuit and perimeter protection. Mounted in a protective Plexiglas frame on a stainless steel base, the M180 RFIQ™ system combines a visible barrier with good design.
D-Tech RFIQ™ StaffPad
StaffPad – the staff antenna (workstation) is used for issuing and returning library items at the librarian’s desk. This unique product switches the security bit in the tag chip OFF and ON when the item is processed in the Library Management System (LMS). It can be placed on or under the desk. Designed and manufactured by D-Tech, it focuses the detection field so that it reads tags placed on top of it. It cannot read tags to the side of or below the antenna. The StaffPad station can also be used after an upgrade to RFID. So you lose nothing – you buy one system and also get RFID capability.
